Volunteer Opportunties

We rise by lifting others. Robert Ingersoll

There are many meaningful ways you can contribute to the lives of our students. One of the most rewarding ways to contribute is by volunteering. We have several opportunities each year for you to consider.

Review Scholarship Applications

Each year we award over $300,000 in scholarships to hardworking students. This is no small feat and it couldn’t be done without a robust volunteer committee made up of alumni, donors, campus employees, and community members, to do this important work.

A great way to contribute your time, and our most popular opportunity, is to review scholarship applications electronically. This can be done from the comfort of your home or office by helping to review and evaluate some of the over 600 scholarship applications we receive each year. Typically, this commitment requires about two hours of time over a two week period, either in the spring, summer or fall term.

Join a Program Advisory Committee

Many of our college programs have a program advisory committee (PAC) which meets each semester. These committees are tasked with providing expert advice and assistance to college professional-technical programs. One of the functions of these committees is to ensure that program curriculum is current, and in the case of technical programs, that it is in line with what is needed by employers in business and industry.

If you, or your employer, has interest in joining a PAC to offer your expertise in a specific program field, we encourage you to submit the recommendation form.
